Asbestos testing kit by mail

asbestos testing by mail

Order a safe mail-in asbestos test kit — collect a small sample safely, post it back to our lab partner, get a clear report.

Clear, documented testing — lab report provided with every sample.

Why order an asbestos test by mail?

Suspected asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) are common in Australian properties built before the early 1990s. A lab test is the only reliable way to confirm if material contains asbestos so you can plan safe removal or renovation.

Mail-in kits let you get a professional analysis without waiting for an on-site visit. We supply everything you need for a safe, low-risk sample, and our lab partner produces a clear report identifying the material and whether asbestos is present.

If the material is friable or likely to release dust when sampled, stop and request a professional on-site sample from our licensed team — safety first.

How our asbestos testing by mail works

Simple, documented steps — order, collect a safe sample, send it back, receive a lab report.

Order your kit

Place your order by phone, email, or click Order your kit to go to the Get Started form in the footer.

Receive kit

Your kit includes clear instructions, PPE (gloves & P2 mask), sample bags, labels, sample form and a pre-paid return mailer.

Mail & results

Post the sealed sample using the included mailer. Samples are analysed by an independent laboratory and you receive a clear PDF report.

Safe guidelines for collecting a sample

Safety is our priority. Follow these steps exactly and stop if you cannot collect the sample without creating dust — call us to organise a professional on-site sample instead.

  1. Wear your PPE: disposable gloves and a fitted P2/N95 mask (included in the kit). Avoid other people being near the area.
  2. Do not drill, sand, or break large sheets. Only take a small sample from an area that can be accessed without disturbing the rest of the material.
  3. Lightly dampen the surface with water (use a spray) to suppress dust before taking a small, intact piece (typically a few grams). If the material is crumbly or produces dust easily, stop and request a professional sample.
  4. Place the sample directly into the inner sealed bag provided. Seal, label and then double-bag in the outer bag. Complete the sample form with the location and description.
  5. Place the double-bagged sample and form in the pre-paid return mailer. Post via the provided instructions — use a trackable service where available.

Important: If you are unsure or the material looks friable, call us on 0426 366 938 and we can arrange a licensed on-site sample or removal. Do not risk releasing fibres.
